- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★The City of Kettering is an excellent place to live; it is the largest suburb of Dayton and is a great place to raise a family. There are plenty of amenities, shopping, and things to do, and because it borders Dayton, Centerville, Beavercreek, and Miami Township one has access to many more shopping centers and entertainment. There are also lots of parks with some of them having been updated recently, the most prominent being Lincoln Park which is very clean and excellently maintained. My grandma has lived in Kettering for over 40 years and she has been very pleased and satisfied with their government and outstanding police force. The city also has an excellent fire division with 4 brand new state-of-the-art fire departments, 2 completed and 2 under construction. I highly recommend Kettering if you are moving to the Dayton area, it is a great city and you will not be disappointed!By Brian Yates, February 01, 2017
